Teased this past weekend on Instagram, it would appear that terror titans Horror Decor and blogging fiend Freddy in Space have once again joined forces to unleash a dose of ectoplasmic nostalgia upon us all in the form of a citrus-scented Ecto-Cooler candle!
A product tie-in for The Real Ghostbusters animated series, Ecto-Cooler (originally Citrus Cooler) quickly became an instant favorite for a whole generation of kids (myself included) that lasted long after the show’s cancellation. Of course, like most things, the drink eventually faded from store shelves and has endured only in the minds of its fans. Some have even dared to recreate the formula, you may recall our hunt for a homemade Ecto-Cooler recipe way back in 2011, to varying degrees of success. While you can’t drink it—well, I guess you can but I wouldn’t recommend it—hopefully this candle will rekindle that same level of nostalgia.
The Ecto-Cooler Candle will be available this Thursday (5/14), and only for 48 hours, and come in two sizes: a large candle for $15 and a smaller candle for $9.
